Fine Dining in the Wildside Restaurant
The Wildside Restaurant is an exposition of Tasmanian food, preparation and service. The restaurant has won international recognition from Condé Nast. Perched on the top of the cliff in the middle of the Tasmanian highlands, with stunning views back to Mount Wellington, the restaurant offers crisp white linen, candles, blazing double sided fire, beautiful stemware and sparkling company.
The Wildside presents a unique dining experience with a very personal service. The executive chef will take you through each course, explaining the outstanding Tasmanian produce and even giving a few secrets away. Wildside dining is based on a fixed menu with regular degustation evenings featuring outstanding local producers.
Outstanding food has to be complimented by fine wines and that's certainly the objective at Wildside. The wine list boasts over 300 international and Australian wines, housed in a spectacular 6 metre long humidity controlled wall of wine! Local Tasmanian wines are well represented and Tarraleah Estate has its own range of wines. They are produced by one of Tasmania's leading wine makers, Julian Alcorso.
