Slow down to Tarraleah time and get a feel for what it was like to live in the 1930's in the heyday of the development of the Hydro Villages. Wander across the green to the village pub, read the papers (slowly) while sipping coffee and nibbling cake in Teez cafe, snuggle in front of a roaring fire in your own spacious 3 or 4 bedroom cottage. Marvel at the restoration of the cottages to their former glory of the art deco era. The furniture pieces have been collected from all around Tasmania and restored back to their previous glory. Many pieces were saved from destruction in an effort to rebuild a part of Tasmania's history.
While at Tarraleah don't forget to ask about the Wilderness tour and the Village Walk. We also recommend star gazing on a clear night - spectacular!
A breakfast hamper for 2 is included. If you need to feed more people additional hampers can be arranged at $10 per person. Alternatively we can recommend Teez cafe as an excellent place to digest a fully cooked breakfast while you read about the news of the day.
Guests are welcome to play golf on the nearby 9 hole golf course.
