The Evening Wildlife Tour
Meet the Adventure Tarraleah guide at dusk for a nightly wildlife walk and watch the nocturnal fauna come alive.
Keep your eyes open for signs of pademelon wallabies, Tasmanian devils, brush and ring tailed possums, wombats, platypus, bennets wallaby and quolls.
Stop at the moth trap to see the moths flying at night.

Constructed in the 1930’s, Tarraleah has had a vibrant history and has an exciting future. The guide will take you through the village and bring history to life - some of it quite infamous!

Weather Recording
At Tarraleah we record the weather for the Bureau of Meteorology.
The weather is recorded 365 days a year and you can accompany the guide as we complete the daily weather check.

Hydro Village History and Culture Tour
Learn about the Hydro Electricity Scheme that shaped so much of the Highlands.
Stroll though giant trees and rainforest before having morning or afternoon tea at the Power Falls.
Visit a hidden lake and spot platypus and other wildlife.
The journey starts with a short drive in the Guide’s vehicle.
