About the Cottages
All our cottages are fully self contained, have 3 bedrooms, and your own lounge, dining, kitchen and sunroom areas. Each Cottage has its own bathroom and laundry facilities. Electric Blankets are on all beds with additional blankets in the bedrooms and each cottage has a TV and DVD player.
Relax in front of the cosy wood fire in your own lounge room, furnished with beautiful furnishings, decor and oject d'art from the art deco period of the 1930's.
The Cottages are located with the Tarraleah village which offers a range of activities and dining, all only a short walk away.
Breakfast
Breakfast provisions are provided for the first night of your stay for two people. Provisions include bacon, eggs, sausages, fruit juice, cereal, bread, butter and jam. The cottages have full cooking facilities. Additional provisions can be purchased for $5 per person per night.
Telephone
Mobiles won't work! Sadly they don't work here in Tarraleah or indeed much of the central highlands from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair and Strahan. There is a landline in the kitchen.
Non-Smoking
All the cottages are non-smoking. We apologise for any inconvenience but we need to adhere strictly to this. Smoking anywhere in the cottage will incur an additional cleaning charge of the cottage daily rate (we have to take the cottage out of service for the day). Please feel free to smoke in the garden.
Reception/Highland Store
The reception is open from 7:30am to 7:30pm (Oct-May) and 8:00am to 5:30pm (June-Sept).
Check In/ Check Out
Check in is 2:00pm. Check out is 10:00am.
Subject to arriving guests we are sometimes able to arrange a late check out time but this needs to be agreed on the evening before your departure.
Reception Staff
There are some friendly people at reception who are there to help you enjoy your stay. They can do all sorts of things which include;
- Organise any activities
- Suggest activities
- Sort out maintenance problems
- Organise your newspaper
- Provide some travel advice
- Book accommodation for you
- Introduce you to activity guides
- Arrange hire of golf clubs
- Book dinner at the Wildside Restaurant
- Organise home dinner packs
- Provide a BBQ
- Provide ball games for your children
If they don't know the answer to your query they will work on it and call you back.
